For some reason this year has gone pretty quick, don't you think so? And so is my life passing me by... Let us do a simple rundown:
- Been here in the US for 5 years.
- Been living here in Sunny SD for almost 2 years now.
- Mario and I have been together for 3 years.
- Been married for 4 months.
- My son is turning 13 in April.
- Last post was about 3 months ago.
WOW! So how is everything? Its been pretty good. I definitely could not complain. Work has been busy too. Add "farming" and managing the cafe to that. :) There was a week when Mario and I were so hooked on it that we'd stay up late till about 12mn just running the cafe and plowing, harvesting and helping neighbors on a work night! By the way, these are the terms you use when you play those Facebook apps - Farmville and Cafe World for us. Thank God for Facebook! Not only for this very addicting apps, also to the connection you have with the people bakc home. It was through FB that I found out about "Ondoy". Seeing the pictures and videos made me speechless. But only to an extent because after that, a lot people were already doing it too much.. It kind of got old..
Anyway, after over a month of excitement and planning, I reunited with good old friends from UPLB. My sorority sister/batchmate - Belle and brod Bombi. Last time I remember seeing Belle was during a Christmas Party in 2004 then seeing Bombi on Channy's 1st birthday in 1998. I left UP in 2000 and never got the chance to see much of them anymore. Weird though because considering the number of years passed and things that had happened, seeing them brought back a lot of good memories that made it seem like it was just yesterday. I was so happy to see them and I realized how much I missed them. Mushy but true :) Sunday Bruch Cruise was the perfect spot. We all enjoyed our company, our buffet food, the trip and the view..
Belle was in town because she and her husband Travis are attending a wedding in Coronado. When Bombi found out about it, he volunteerd to join us so we can have a mini reunion. Bombi was with his wife, Elena and 2 yr old son, Joseph Isaac.
After the cruise, Belle and Travis had to go to Coronado while Bombi's family, Mario and I went to see the USS Midway Museum next door. We meet up again during dinner and took them to our favorite Super Buffet. We're planning to get together again to drive up to Big Bear or maybe a Mexican Riviera Cruise.. Till next time guys! :)
